Northwestern University

Northwestern University (NU) is a private exploration college with grounds in Evanston and Chicago in Illinois, United States, and Doha, Qatar. Made out of twelve schools and universities, Northwestern offers 124 college degrees and 145 graduate and expert degrees. 

Northwestern was established in 1851 by John Evans, for whom the City of Evanston is named, and eight different legal counselors, agents and Methodist pioneers. Its establishing reason for existing was to serve the Northwest Territory, a range that today incorporates the conditions of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and parts of Minnesota. Direction started in 1855; ladies were conceded in 1869. Today, the primary grounds is a 240-section of land (97 ha) package in Evanston, along the shores of Lake Michigan only 12 miles north of downtown Chicago. The college's law and restorative schools are situated on a 25-section of land (10 ha) grounds in Chicago's Streeterville neighborhood. In 2008, the college opened a grounds in Education City, Doha, Qatar with projects in news-casting and correspondence. 

Northwestern is a vast examination college with a far reaching doctoral program and pulls in over $550 million in supported research each year.In expansion, Northwestern has one of the biggest college blessings in the United States, as of now esteemed at $10.5 billion.In 2015, the college acknowledged 13% of undergrad candidates, making Northwestern a standout amongst the most specific colleges in the nation. 

Northwestern is an establishing individual from the Big Ten Conference and remains the main private college in the gathering. The Northwestern Wildcats contend in 19 intercollegiate games in the NCAA's Division I Big Ten Conference.
